Our IM system is clunky.

- Going over to New IM, clicking a name, and clicking Start should, incredibly enough, actually start an IM with that person. Not flip me to a conference IM that person happens to be in, nor flip me to a group IM. Personal IMs are private and one-on-one, conferences and groups aren't. They shouldn't be treated like the same thing.

- Speaking of conference IMs, can there be a way to check who you're IMing without asking whoever started the conference? I see the potential for dishonesty/abuse here, not to mention it's just annoying not to be able to tell.

- "So-and-so has left the session." I don't care, stop demanding my attention. Showing up in IM/chat history is fine, but ditch the IM Received button so I don't have to click it every time someone relogs, which is quite a bit lately.

- "Session has expired on server." Again, I don't care. If the server knows that, then it should automatically and quietly start a new one. Why make me click around and do it?

Little annoyances all, but little annoyances build up when you have to deal with them dozens of times daily. Thanks for reading.

Hi, I'm trying to regroup all "Second Life: John Doe has left this session." related requests and point them to the below proposal with already 200 votes/58 voters.
Prop: 2557 - "Joe Sombody, has left this session" needs to go
