This HAS been suggested b4 with no reply.

Can we plz have a better volume option for SL.

Not just a slider for System volume, UI, and other useless things.

I like to listen to MP3's and watch DVD's while in SL. I am so tired of hearing CRASH, THUMP, TYPING, WHISTLING, HUMMING, WHERRING, ETC..... at really loud volumes over my music and movies, with no option to turn down SL sounds as a whole and leave my system sounds up.

I like SL but every other game I've played has a volume for the game itself completely independant of the system volume.

Also while we are here, WHY do I hear people typing a full sim away? If I can't see the chat why should I hear the typing lol.

Can there be something inplace that only allows gesture noises and typing to go as far as the range of the chat and NO further?

Also would love to have some sort of volume option for scripted object noises. Some things are just too annoying especially if they are too repedative and on all the time, but if you like the person who has them, ya try to avoid upsetting them you either don't say anything or turn your speakers down. Which is upsetting when there is some things ya want to hear.

I know the mute option is there for objects too but if ya can't find em thats hard.

Maybe a new script call that can mute all scripted sounds or nonowner scripted sounds in a givin area would be nice too.

Definitely in favor of volume control independent of system volume.
