This was something I'd pondered a long time ago, and the recent threads made me remember it.
If there had a selectable checkbox function for "Hide Indecency" under Graphics, I'd applaud. Enable it, and the baked on underwear textures are used on your client. Disable it, and see everyone as nature intended.
No more indecency AR's... because the end user has the power to clothe their peers..... just to themselves! It worked with stopping gesture spam... ^_^

I'd be happy about that, If people get upset about nudity then I'd be happy to click on
a box and have things automatically check themselves. I have a penis on a couple of my lads, and sometimes when I change... the penis shows itself on the outside of my pants. Because I can only see the back of me [although I have noticed it when flying] I don't know I have it on. But to do this, anything naughty would have to be marked as such... I mentioned this before with items. In the settings when you make an item, you would have "Avitar", "Gesture", "Sound", Clothing" etc... and "Adult". Setting "Avitar" would allow the Inventory to say "Oh I see, that ought to go in the Avitar folder" and that way you wouldn't "lose" objects. If there was an "adult" setting, your idea would most likely work as the foul and vulgar part of the body would simply detach during teleport and clunk some poor dalek on the noggin. But to the guys doing all this work and having headaches over it, I thank you, because I really enjoy using secondlife a lot. Wolfie! |
