I think it would be nifty to be able right click on an object and click "Load First", then the bandwidth gets focused on that object until its loaded and then continues as normal. I'm shopping and I can see a little hovering text, "Neko Ears", and I know they are right there, and I want to see them, but I have to wait for the entire sim to load along with it, and its tough Even with a 4Mbps connection. Sometimes zooming in on an object makes it load faster than others, but it usually doesnt.

Just a question:
How do you right click on an object that the viewer does not know is there?

From: Ed Gobo It might just be lacking textures Then it would be grey. At which point the OBJECT itself has been downloaded, and what you need is a force download of specific TEXTUREs.

Yeah thats what I mean sorry. Usually most of the prims load up before the textures start becoming visible. And it gets annoying have to wait for a whole room load of textures to load when the one you want is right infront of you.

Yes I blame some of the programmers for bad coding, but how could you blame them for power outages. I love Second Life, but when it breaks, don't cry, just go do something else... lol Second Life is just that, a SECOND life, but it isn't real . Didn't the matrix movies teach you anything?
