The land tools suck. We need more customizable size and shape of brushes, ranging from a single vertex to an arbitrarily huge area. Being able to rotate the brush plane would rule. Its nearly impossible to make non 45 degree slopes. I should be able to rotate the brush plane to make 10, 20 or 30 degree slopes. Oh and the 45 degree rule sucks :p
Also having a grid thingy on land would rock, letting us precisely edit the appropriate vertices to make beautiful land sculptures.
Thank you.

How about displacement maps? It'd be cool to precisely shape my land by uploading a grayscale image.

I imagine there are many reasons this won't work, but I can fantasize :)

to make beautiful land sculptures.

I dont disagree necessarily however I think this is axactly the problem. One persons "beautiful land sculpture" is another persons eyesore. It's all subjective.

I think this wouldnt be (maybe wont be*) such an issue if we could replicate the land affect on a prim. then we could literaly build our own land, caves, arch's etc.. There are so many land formations that are not possible with the current land tools.

*bump maping (and access to textures used!!) might alow us to accuratly simulate the effect, or maybe some other feature that we might be given access to in 1.1 or later. Time will tell.
