Add Option to Log In Invisible

The IMs start coming before I can even rezz. Would be nice to be able to log in without anyone knowing sometimes. Just for some peace and quiet sometimes. I have alts but I need to use my main avatar to shop or work on my club. I don't know if it has been discussed previously. Just a thought.

Kicking a dead dog on that one, some of us have wanted that enabled for a long while.
SL has changed since the olbies all use to know ea other and the communities were small and there were only so many thousands online and all that nostalgic harmony, yada yada.
But it's not now!
It's a different virtual world, but we still have SL eye in the sky on contacts, groups, 2nd party online scripts you don't even have to be friends w/ a person for the user to get notification you are online.
Resident solution has always been get an alt, which is not satisfactory to me.
I need and want to be my prime nickname w/o the deluge when I login or any given time.

Maybe being able to set preferences to log on in Busy mode?

One way around it is to have your friendship list set so they cant see when you long on and only let them see when you want. Thought if everyone did this then no one would know when any one was on

It takes me an hour and a half (no joke) to go through my friends list and toggle something like that, because of delays and lag.

No no no a thousand times no, Busy Mode is completely and utterly broken.

Maybe the easiest way is to tell your friends not to IM you as soon as you log on thought that dont respect your wishes block them or remove them

thanks for that argent - at last an item that says something we all desperately need. With the greatest respect to my friends, I only get a couple of hours a day in sl if that and it's totally taken up with dealing with them...............exploration and quiet time is a lost cause........no wonder our inventories are a hideous mess, we quickly acquire stuff, rush from here to there, bung it in the file then rue the day when we can't find anything...........
any word from the powers that be, if this 'invisible' toggle will ever be implemented?

Since we've been begging for it since before about the last three three or four major changes in the IM system... don't hold your breath even if you're a tardigrade and can hibernate for decades without harm.



But it won't hurt to vote for it anyway.
