Why are group messages not saved or redirected to my email like all other messages? Is this by design? Whats so special about groups that you cant save group messages for people who arent online?

I like it. Personal IMs are usually "to you" wereas group IMs are most likely 60 lines of chatter, and I for one don't need 60 emails like that.

Then we need a "digest" mode for the emails then. One honking huge email with all the IMs, group chatter, etc in an easy to read list, much like a chat log. Heck, how about an option for a chat log daily digest too, for those info junkies out there.

Is there some sort of easy way to just message everyone in your group? Like... an announcement without having to select everyone manually?

Make a folder of calling cards and use that... Or so I've heard. I've never had occasion to try it, myself.

I thought you open the IM menu, the first few lines are the groups you're in. Click them and you send a message to the whole group.
