Aparently with the current number of players in SL and the amount of sims available, we have a player density of 1.2 player per sim, with 70% of the sims being empty at any time.
THe idea i had is the following:
Provide for a fee (the premiums for example) a personal construct, it would be an immaterial space equivalent to 1/4 or 1/8 of a sim, and you can furnish it and have it any ways you want.
With one limitation: it is turned off when you aren't in it.
-This format would be perfect for the average user that simply want his own place with his house and ways to invite a few friends to party.
-This would be invisible on the landmass because it would be a temporary place.
-It would also be cheaper for linden labs to run as they could be stacked a dozen per server and when they turn off, the resources can be used by someone else.
-It would be 100% private for the user as he decides who can enter it.
-No risks of neightbouring problems eyesores and the like.
The full sims would remain as they are and would be the permanently active landmass. THis would tighten up the community, we would have on one side the private places being really PRIVATE and each would be free to experiment his building skills without interference, and on the other side the PUBLIC places that would be permanently on, their density would be much higher and would greatly benefit the user experience, of a "living" world.
What you guys think?
