This is probably a personal gripe more than a public view but I remember reading about hosts complaining about participants interfering with events and hosts.
One sad trend I've seen, and why I've made this post, is to please make a event/host set of rules for the hosts as well.
As I said this is a personal gripe. Nothing is ruder than another host coming to a earlier event and continually advertising their own event during that one. That is a pet peeve I see happening more and more frequently. I understand you want to be recognized but consider the current hosts feelings for that. Coming in and spelling your event out for folks once is ok but please be considerate and stop after that instead of continuing on about it. That not only interupts the current event and its proceedings but also takes life out what could be a good event itself.

This is why you have a ban function and the liaisons are there.

Well 'technically' the rules state the events and hosted events are open to 'everyone'. If you kick or ban a person for simply advertising or 'visiting' the event. They can complain, file false reports, more heaping and shovels of BS. I'm simply saying there should be a set standard of rules and regulations for hosting and going to an event. If you break that setting, its up the host if they kick/ban you and there will be no further investigation of the issue. Make the host file a report or something in response of it. Who knows. I just put this up in hopes of getting more feedback on it.

It's really a shame when you have to create rules to be obeyed just to cover what should be common courtesy.
I guess these days courtesy just isn't common.

Yeah that is rude
If someone did that to me I would have said out loud "If you have any quesitons about the upcoming event being spoken about please speak to <whoever> through IM" ..
If they didn't listen I'd run up to them and continually bump into them in front of everyone and say "do you like that? Do you like that?" j/k
