It's painful to have your textures nicely organized in your inventory only to have them slopped into a single alphabetical list in the texture picker. Is there any way we could get a list of hierarchical folders like our inventory instead? And a way to preview them without closing the list and losing our place would be good.

Yes I agree, the Texture Picker needs some work and additions.

The texture picker is a PAIN! It is horrible, devilish, and must die.
I have like a thousand textures. You surely dont think I'm able to find my textures by name alone without any visual cue? Give us a thumbnail-based interface. Or something. |

Agreed. If we're stuck with a pull-down menu, it'd be great if we could type out the first few letters and the first matching string would be highlighted.

Yes!
The current texture picker is evil. |

I agree absolutely! In the short term at least let it scroll to the current texture. When I miss by 1 because I was trying to hurry, it's a big pain to have to scroll again.
But a file-hierarchy browser would rock. If there was a way to integrate the inventory and the texture browser, that would be the best. Maybe one day there will be an info panel on the inventory, and for textures, that would include a preview image. |

In the meantime, remember you can keep your inventory open to the folder of textures you want to work with, and drag them to the edit window's texture box.
But yeah... TWO windows to do one job? Ugly. _____________________

HOLY COW!!! No one ever told me that. Shame on all of you! hehehe... Seriously, that will come in very handy. So thank you greatly Tiger! ![]() But I do VERY MUCH support the suggestion of the thread. I would love for my textures to show up under the same folder headings that I have them organized by in my inventory. _____________________
