Add Mature catagories for Profiles and Groups

Okay the rules are group names and the entire content of your profile have to be PG
Well this is stupid - It literally causes more damage then it avoids.
You should be able to label your Profile as Mature and follow the much less restrictive rules used for Mature tagged Classified ads and Mature Tagged Places.
If someone looks up your name and you have a mature profile it will simply show a blank profile with the words "This profile is labeld Mature'
In a similair fashions groups shoudl be able to follow the more related mature rules if they choose that they are mature.
Mature groups would only be searchable if the Mature tag were clicked - Mature groups would automatically be invisible on all PG profiles.
Since groups and Profiles Often already break the PG rules now, this isnt really more than fixing the veiws to meet reality.

That doesn't seem like much to ask for from LL. It would make them look good as far as allowing freedom of expression and shield those who do not wish to see profiles with mature content.
P.S. That is if they do it right....I hear all kinds of horror stores of vile pictures coming up in the searches when people have the mature content box unchecked.

With the amount of breast, behind, and other unmentionable body parts showing on some profiles, I don't know why they are even sensoring groups. Those profile picture are a lot more offensive than some group names I have seen.

I doubt this would happen. In practice, what you are actually asking for is an X-rated classification, and that (formal channels to support 'adult' activities) is something LL seems commited to avoiding.

Those profile picture are a lot more offensive than some group names I have seen. exactly Ive seen profiles with actual Av sex pictured in their "picks" Ive also seen first life pictures that include RL nudity - (as in actual player's "porn" pics) While those two are more rare - Av nudity in Profiles is common. SO is advertizing that someone is a sex slave, or escort, or into this kink or that kink. So the reality is - Theres a large number of non PG profiles now. Why not be pragmatic and just make it possible for peopel to label themselves mature. |
