I know you are working on group or gov controls and such, so i had some suggestions.
First of all, group owned land. We in Americana plan not to have all 32 members buy a piece of land and build but for some to buy land and for everyone to build on that land. This would be much easier if we could just have group owned land, (everyone could edit land etc...).
Someone might raise the question how would you pay the taxes on group owned land?
This brings me to my second suggestion, group treasuries. I would love to see group treasuries implemented. They could be filled by group taxes, and the group taxes could be voted on by group or something.... This would make it much easier for the themed communities i think. At least the way we wish to do ours.
Also of course would like the kick from group.... kick from sim... plan for rule violators so we can self regulate.
I am sure i can come up with more group suggestions but thats it for now.

Oh great idea i second it!
This would have resolved huge issues we had tonight about buying land for Blue our new sim, we fought for about an hour on what we were gonna do, I'd really like to see group land implemented.

LoL I don't think you can second your own idea  But I Can  We have similar issues tha this would resolve with Little Tokyo. The individual ownership of land creates problems when trying to zone based on a planed lay out. For the most part were iorning this out but "Group Land" would be soooooooooo nice to have. If we could have some kind of treasury or whatever to pay for it we could have EVERYONE in the group as join owners of the land more easily. Honestly I didn't hear about the changes to the land grants and such (from the Nexus, Venice, Rt. 66 original style of linden owned land to the current plan) until after I had put up the proposal so were trying to figure out how to handle that, Group owned land would solve those problems almost instantly. The officers could be alowed to buy land as 'group land' and whenever a plot was selected to be purchased a vote could go out to the group and if approved the land would be purchased. Then the Treasurey / group fund would pay the taxes on it and the gorup would have rights on the land. |
