Turn Group IM OFF LL!!

Group IM has been broken for a while now.
I am the owner of my group and cannot even answer questions when people are asking them due to"

Error Messaging Chat Session.....

I try to send a group notice and no one ever gets it.
The IM sessions are having to be closed by several people several times.
The IM conversation is choppy. When I do not close it...all of the IM's do not get through...it's like having dropped calls.

So what's the point of having Group Chat when it cannot be used? It's becoming more of a griefing tool than anyrthing.

Give us the option to disable group chats as individuals.
Give us the option to disable it as the group owner or officer (as defined in group roles)
or just turn it off until its' fixed!

Now I actually have 3 group chat windows that constantly keep opening. I know they keep seeing:
MadamG Zagato has left the session.

Because I see that others are constantly leaving the session.

Ding ding
Ding ding
Ding ding
Ding ding!

...is all I hear.

I've gotta second this one...

...of ALL things in SL, the constantly returning Group IM is the most annoying.

HOWEVER...I think that the group window coming up more reliably as things are said is better--it's just that there needs to be an option to turn off someone's ability to IM within a group...so that messages sent to a group can be controlled by the group.

I'm just here to agree with the OP. Notices and IM still don't work right in my group. I have one group member who never gets IM at all!

Yes.. Something needs to be done about group IM's... I can close it, and it imediatelly reopens when soneone else says something.. this is very annoying.... Then when I try to say something .. it says I am not authorized to lol.. go figure...
