Is there anyway of using the in world construction techniques while not logged in.... Another simple program where you could build say a chair model it on your own computer anytime and then upload it . It would make complex construction so much easier and faster? Anyideas...

Nope.

Much as we wish it, there's not any kind of offline building system, and not likely to be in the near future.

Ok, and here's where I sound like a zealot :
I don't think that there should be offline building tools. Part of second life is the experience of being in world. I build constantly while in game. People drop in to say hi, see what I'm dong, trade scripts & objects & such.. If I was buiding offworld, well, why would I bother going in game? I'd be missing out on some of the cooler aspects of the game.

Part of the fun is just interacting with random people flying past.

and ocassionally blowing them out of the sky.

I certainly see your point.. I guess I was thinking more about the creation on inane objects that can be tricky to build in world. In the end I agree that building in world is part of the fun!

My only counter to C$'s Zeallosy (???) would be this.

I only get 7 hours a night to build & chat, and chat is compounded by the number of friends to hang out & keep abreast with. Now that may seem like plenty of time, but when I am creating, 10 hours can go by in an eyeblink.

if I could get longer hours, or the ability to build offline & pay for the objects on import, then I'd have plenty of online time to implement my creations, and more time to socialize.

Always keep them wanting more.

Trials and tribulations of being in a beta =P

But seriously, I agree, 7 hours isn't a lot. And since I'm here in EST and I really should get to bed at a reasonable hour, I only get maybe 4 hours a day.

It's not much but it sure makes sure I make the best of those 4 hours =)

And learning the language =)
