Please please please let us minimize this box. I have wanted this for so long and just now getting around to asking for it. Is this possible to do?
It would be nice if all windows in SL could be minimized including New Windows and Tear Off Windows.

Kitty Barnett just IM'd me in game with a fix she posted here back in January so I'm reposting it here. Thanks, Kitty! But Lindens, can this please be made the default so we don't have to change it each update? From: someone In the folder where you installed the viewer, under skins, then xui, then en-us (or a different one if you're using a different language I guess?) and look for floater_inventory.xml. Or simply search for the name of the file.
You can just open it in notepad, it's a textfile.
The very first line should say:

<floater bottom="-720" can_close="true" can_drag_on_left="false" can_minimize="false"
and all you do is change the false I put in bold to true (leave the quotes around it) and save and close the file and log back in
And it's good to know I'm not the only one who's annoyed by it not being there . Although I don't get why they never got around to it if it's so simple. |

It was driving me crazy not being able to minimize it anymore  . It used to just be there, and then it was gone, although I can't remember which update made it go away... Given how easy the fix is, still do wonder why they can't just correct it  . There's some other useful - or to me anyway - inventory window tricks you can do, like adding inventory tabs so you get several "My Inventory" tabs (would be useful to keep one open, filtered to only show one kind of item so you could have a "My Landmarks" tab, "My Animations" tab etc) all in one single window, but it behaves inconsistently so it probably wasn't meant to be used that way without further work  . |
