Implement a feature that allows an Avatar to permit another Avatar to remove items for a specific period of time. Revokable at any time, of course. Restrict it to what the Avatar is wearing.

Why?
What purpose would this feature serve other than the kinky?

The consensual kinky is a cute reason, however since it should require permission from the target avatar consider the possibility of people spamming this feature on an unwilling target to the point of of severe annoyance (a.k.a. griefing).

It could be something akin to land ownership, granting rights to override. While that has promise in the interactivity sector, all the spamming might lead to more lag and other issues.

eww. that isnt a good thought, is it?

Imagine walking or flying in the vicinity of other avatars and getting multiple "Random Avatar would like permission to remove your clothing and attachments? Yes/No" popups.

Maybe if you're gonna have something like this it could be friend card related like you currently have with permission to edit other people's objects (we still have that, right? I havent checked in a year or so. lol)

Oh, and if we are going to have this feature, bagsy me making the first avatar Buckaroo game :D

Scripted Clothing.

The real solution is to have script commands for attachments to control your clothing.

Then you can script it without having random people inconvenienced...

Oh, please :) Why don't you think practical instead of "could be used for griefing"?

Make it an option which is ticked "OFF" by default. If you tick it on, you get one of those "Never show again" dialogs, telling you that you will now receive those requests. Even better, make requests possible for friends only. This way, nobody gets to see those messages who doesn't want them, and you still keep the option to durn down the request.

I find this solution most elegant. It won't need an extra setting, no one unwanted can intrude and no extra dialog boxes.

Synchronized stripping and clothes changes anyone?

A version of the per-avatar permissions has been added to my list of individual permissions it should be possible to give friends, at /13/c1/112642/1.html#post1095147.

I diddn't add :

because it's not a 'relationship'-type permission, though I do think it would be an even better idea overall.

Maybe it should be possible to grant this permission to a group, as well.

One use I can think of for this is in roleplaying games, for "thieves." Or as a way to "disarm" someone wielding a weapon. It would probably be possible to script this into the items that you want someone else to be able to remove, but that would be slow. For this sort of purpose, ideally there would be a parameter allowing a success chance of taking an item being worn/attached per attempt. I'm not sure if there should also be a way to make objects in inventory "stealable" as well.

It's not at the top of my list of features most wanted, but it would be interesting.
