For the folks who went premium to get First Land but didn't get any (that is, all current premiums who haven't yet used their First Land), how about an extra 10% tier bonus (or more, similar to the 10% group bonus) for as long as they're premium, or even grandfather them in with "basic tier" for a year after they downgrade to basic? That will give them an incentive to stay in the "land loop", or join in with a landholding group to own land as part of a co-op.
Disclaimers: I don't have any first-land-less premium alts, but I do have a landholding group that's got a significant fraction of its tier from premium group members with 512 square meters.

Those wouldn't have been eligble for first land though; deeding tier away to a group forfeits first land.

You know the saddest thing about this whole change is I actually used my first land. Was only for a few weeks then I moved up to a higher tier...but I actually used it.
I've seen alot of the incentives for being a premium account holder burned away in the time I've been in Second Life....its like theres almost no incentive but the incentives you can create now.
The only advantage me paying Linden Labs 135 dollars a month gives me, over paying 80 - 100 dollars a month to a covenant estate somewhere of essentially the same size....is total and complete security that no one can take what I have made away from me.
And I don't even really have that cause all it takes is some jerk with GLI and Copy-bot and my whole build could show up somewhere else. Thankfully thats not likely to happen due to the scope and size and complexity of my build...but hey, it could happen.
Premiums aren't getting much of anything anymore. Developer Incentive gone, First land gone, estate prices up, land prices through the roof. The 54,000 of us there are(reportedly), seem to be carrying a massive amount of weight in respect to the other 3,780,000 registered accounts in the system.
I think there needs to be more than just a one time tier bonus for the premiums that didn't use their first land...there needs to be a massive reconsideration of the way premium accounts are being dealt with entirely because we're getting zilch in respect to what we're putting back into the game.
My 500 Linden Stipend? You can keep it if you want. Cause I actually made my own opportunities and incentives out of nothing but the ideas in my head. But irregardless, that doesn't mean that I should have the exact same privileges as someone that doesn't pay a dime into the network and gets away with all the same benefits I have other than singular ownership of property.

I think you're reading more into my disclaimer than I intended to put there. Every single one of them have already had first land anyway, and I wasn't implying that any of our group members would get the bonus, I was simply disclosing a potential conflict of interest: if this were implemented, it might possibly benefit me by helping me recruit members with unused tier to the group in the future. If anyone is inclined to want to dismiss the suggestion because I'm looking for profit, I might as well take the hit up front. I suspect that folks who are actually using land groups for land trading would easily be able to outbid me, though.

You could be right, I can't argue against that, all I'm trying to do is come up with something modest enough that it's got a chance of happening.

From: Argent Stonecutter I think you're reading more into my disclaimer than I intended to put there. Sorry. I thought you meant it as "I have a bunch of people who donated their free 512m² tier to a group I'm in while they were waiting for first land to pop up." .
