Secure script resets

I would very much like to allow the option to reset a script on a non modifiable object.

Once an object is sold as no mod/copy, as far as I know, it's locked from everybody, including owner and creator. If the script crashes, your only two options seem to be to track down the creator and get it replaced, or to beg the creator to allow you mod rights. No matter how tight a script is, if you leave it running for a long time and it's really busy, it seems that it's very likely it will eventually crash. It would be SO nice if you could just open the content dialog and see a button that says "reset" which is enabled/disabled at the creator's discretion (like a little checkbox that says "enable secure reset" or something).

If this option were available, I would enable it on every object I sell and it would be so very nice.

has anyone tried the recompile command in the tools menu on a no-mod object?
