A delay, on the entry of PVP land, to PVP status.

Not long. Say, 5-10 seconds. And in these 5-10 seconds, just to make it fair and not let you pop in, shoot everyone up, and leave, make the land no-script to you as well.

I have found few things more annoying lately than flying over random PG sims, flying over Bob's Plot of Doom, and having Bob the Wannabe PVP Baron start trying to kill me the second I cross onto his teritory.

With Jessie and Rauch, if you venture into them, you got what you had comming to you, I guess. Hence why I, and a lot of other people, stay far away from those zones. But now more and more of these little PVP-pockets are popping up, and its quite possible to be killed just flying/driving/etc by, not wanting to be involved at all, and in fact not even realizing by the time you get killed that you were in PVP teritory at all.

Instead it should be a client flag that highlights PvP land with orange bars or something. Like ban bars, only flythroughable.

As long as it's a toggle. :)

In non damage enabled sims, there is an implied "right of passage", or easement, whatever, at a certain height above the land. I know this from, in the past, having locked down a large part of shipley with a variety of defenses for an in-game client (defense and banishment are old specialities of mine), and having Lindens later tell that client to remove them based on resident complaints. Also, the height of the current ban tool implies this as well (though I think it should be twice the height).

What's interesting is, the ONLY complainers were some of the all-time most annoying and repetitive griefers SL has ever seen, no doubt frustrated with their inability to continue griefing in that sim, and thus deciding to use the admin system against this formerly griefed resident ("WAHH we can't get where we were going!!!" Funny, nobody ever thought to ask, "and where might that have been?";).

If you fly down low to take a peek, all bets are off. But if your height is sufficient to clearly show you were just passing through, and the resident has wired ground-to-sun with turrets, or actively seeks you to kill you at that height when all you're doing is passing along, from my direct experience, you can claim it as harassment/griefing. If it becomes a known pattern, the admins will step in and it will stop.

This is not true for damage enabled sims. Nobody has any right to complain about being randomly sniped in one of those sims at all, for any reason, at any time, at any height or depth, waving a white flag and holding babies or not.

Actually, that's not such a bad idea.

BTW

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!
