LL announced a feature to allow content creation in industry standard 3d modeling programs to circumvent the limitations of SL's building tools. It was announced in the summer and a video was presented that shows that progress was very far. Does anyone have any clue on when they think we'll see it?

I doubt we'll see it in mainline SL before 2010.
