It would be handy for the creator and/or officers to remove people from their groups that are being disruptive on IM channels or otherwise giving said group a poor reputation.

Please, definately.... It is too costly to have to continously create new groups just to remove one offending member...

Yes, I want to see this also. After two of my group members harrased other users, I was left with no choice but to fire them. They understood and volunarily left the group. I got lucky. They could have stayed and I would have been able to do nothing about it.

I think this is a logical request, but as a relatively new resident I am curious. Is it assumed that the originator of a group has dictatorial power given such a feature, or is it possible to have some kind of consensus?

I think with this, There should be at least 3 ranks..

Founder - Can promote members to officers, demote officers to members remove anyone from group

Officer - Can remove members.

Members - Just there =P

yes very good idea

Yes, hopefully something like this will come with the self-governing tools. I'm actually very surprised there isn't a remove member by vote option either.

And don't you little underlings worry, I wouldn't want to get rid of any of you. I think of you all as my personal piggy banks... :D I have got to stop thinking outloud. (j/k)

We need the ability to remove members from groups. Many of the Linden concerns over getting rid of unused groups or small groups, would be eliminated by giving us this ability.
