llSetAvatarParams would take a list as input and allow changing avatar height, shape, skin, tattoos, animation, position, rotation, gender, and other such things.

Seems to me it should involve another kind of permissions (permission to change your avatar shape and clothing).
Can you explain why you'd want this? We can save all those things as a folder, to click in our inventory, so it's not the ability to don an appearance in one click. Please give some examples.

It's a good idea if you were to make it a script enabled function, thats why. Imagine different applications that let you preview shapes etc. Think of creative ways this could be used. Being able to remove/add layers via a HUD for example. The thoughts go on and on. Maybe an eye color that changes every 3 seconds. It is a great idea that is long overdue. Obviously there would be a permissions request as well behind this.
