Separate draw distance for land

I'd like to be able to have the viewer show land out further than it sees objects. I don't care if I can only see builds for 128 or 150 meters, but land, I gotta have it further. For example: Standing on one side of Cardova and looking to the other, it looks flat, but then as you walk over the hillside starts to appear.

Fog distance would be based on land draw distance in this scheme.

I'd also like land view to be more "aggressive" than it is now. If you go fast enough, you won't see a single thing in the sim you're about to enter until the moment you cross into it. I understand about objects not showing up right away, but it seems like land probably shouldn't be too much trouble.
