Before I suggest this, please know that I don't know any technical jargon. What I want to see is content in SL that doesn't exist on SL servers, perhaps by using other applications or content on other servers. Like other capabilities that can be abused, this one would have to ask permission as well.
Imagine:
a. You click on a screen and it asks you if it can access streaming video. It wouldn't show on anyone else's client, but for you it would be rendered on that prim face.
b. You click on a box and it offers you a file that you can download. A lot like a hypertext link - only a hyperprim link

c. This info could eventually be stored on private servers of people hosting sims in SL.
I don't anticipate any of this happening soon, of course. And there are many opportunities where this could be abused, especially if you're the sort to grant every permission box without reading it. But if done right, there's tons you could do with this!
2. Send Mr. Moneybags to the moon!
One of my biggest complaints with 1.2 is that people can purchase land for RL cash. Still, that does open up possibilities as well, although I'm hesitant to admit that. What if Squaresoft wanted to purchase room in SL? That would be excellent! Well, if it's gonna happen, for good or bad, I want cash land to be geographically distinct. That way it doesn't get in the way of the work-a-day $L world we've worked hard to establish. Rather than seperating them completely or fully integrating them, wouldn't it be nifty to put them on a moon?
You could teleport there or fly there or pretend it never existed. But if you have a desire to visit the corporate world, you could. I'm not really forwarding this as a complete plan, and it's somewhat in jest, but what do people think? Can we resolve the 1.2 concerns by using features?
