Remembered Window Positions

It would be handy if the location and size of internal windows (map, search, et al) could be stored and remembered between sessions. It would also be handy if the last position of a collapsed window could be remembered as well. That way, I could put these where i find them most useful, and not have to do it manually in the next session.

Maybe there would be a tick box in preferences somewhere to set this on or off, or perhaps maybe a tick box on the top bar of each window - when ticked, the information gets remembered, otherwise it resets in the next session.
