First post - sorry if this has been suggested before, but if it has (and I would imagine it has) I'm here to back it up.
I'd love to be able to access my land parcels offline! I think it would be a great idea to be able to backup the current state of you parcel on your computers HD and have the opportunity to work on it when offline. I feel this would greatly benefit all! If I work on a project offline, there would be less lag I hope, and upload my work at a later time. Also, If I have no internet access, I could still have some fun in a limited space (yes, SL is the only game I own for my computer).

yeah - if SL is the Metaverse, when will we be able to emulate the scenes where Hiro Protaganist is on the raft?
No, not the one where his anal virginity is offered up to the pirates; the ones where he tools around in his virtual back yard via his own machine, and hacks some...

Hmm yes this would be nice to have an Offline SL
Make it to where you can build, script and whatnot offline where not only you dont have to be bothered by pesky IM's but can actualy work with stuff lag free... also have it where you could have like eather your parcle or a full sim to play with.
Reason I say a full sim and yes I relize that this may lag down many ppls systems is becouse I myself tend to build stuff only rezzable in a sandbox...
I dout that you would be able to upload what You have made offline to the online but it would be helpfull for thouse that make skins and animations.
