if its possible, how about client download bigger than 20 megabytes? It seems soooo small. And if we made it bigger, we would probably have soo much more bandwidth.

Aye?

Naw =P

The sheer amount of content in-game makes it impossible to package everything into the client. Though that said, I still don't understand why they don't just include the library textures, there aren't THAT many of them, and a lot of people use them intentionally to try and reduce loading times. That and the library seems to take ages to load for me, especially when it's a texture in it that I'm looking for :(

Pretty well everything that is static in SL is in the download, what do you propose they add?

I could see library textures, and trees. Thats about it.

You've been using Windows too long where to get a simple driver can be a 50meg download.

It's what the cache is for. What we all need is a real bandwidth supply. I'm on 256kbs, it is a pain.

Well then just add the library contents to the download, every bit helps.

However I presume theres more static data then just library contents, some stuff that isn't so obvious. Anything. It frees up bandwidth.
