Imagine if we could combine these two..

sodaplay + Second Life = awesomeawesomeawesome!!!

i have a feeling responses will be slow to come on this, as people will likely be a little sidetracked playing with sodaplay.

but really, imagine prims that could be defined and adjusted the way the 'anchors' and 'springs' are used in the sodaplay interface...

*daydreaming*

i provided the link to sodaplay in my first post.. but never said anything about what to do once one has clicked on it.

so..

click the link to 'sodaplay' in the first post, then..

1) check out the 'sodazoo' to see things that other people have made.

2) check out 'sodaconstructor' to make your own things.

3) report back here with 'wow, that was cool!' ;)

Cybin, I'm curious, what do you mean by "sodaplay + Second Life" in your post? I know what sodaplay is, I'm curious how you imagine it being combined with SL.

what i'm thinking..

Jarod,

basically.. what if the companies 'soda' and 'Linden Labs' got together to come up with a way to import the sodaconstructor into SL? so that you could use that interface with prims?

..of course, we would need new prims that acted as 'springs'.. we already have 'joints', so i'm guessing those would work as the 'anchor points' from the sodaconstructor program.

what we would have is the ability to make the things from sodaplay in SL.. in 3D! imagine!

really, think about it.. these two combined would REALLY open the doors to AI in SL!! being able to make self-moving prim builds.. that are scripted with LSL.. and whatever else you could want..

how about a 'familiar'? that walks/trundels/slides/etc.. with you? how about a haunted house.. with breathing walls! the possibilities are endless!

k.. i'll stop now.. let me know if you get my drift

I played SodaPlay back when I was in High School! Okay so that's just 3 years ago but still, that's awesome that it's still up and running.

Personally. I think SL could easily have a SodaPlay type event going on. Just add a few required lines into scripts and let people loose with the blocks and locks.

Neato idea!
