The SL News Stand is an object that displays classified ads in game. Users can walk up to the stand and make a request by typing into the chat box. For example if they are searching for a job, they simply say 'jobs'. A note card with a listing of current job opportunities will immediately be handed to them from our note card distribution center.
Because the note cards are handed from a distribution center, instead of the news stand itself… our staff is able to maintain the listings so they are always up-to-date. All of our news stands which are located in hundreds of different regions will display the same current classified ads
We have several categories for classified ads including: jobs, services, apparel, attachables, objects, buildings, skins, ect.
Advertisers find the News Stand very beneficial... because when they place an ad their ad is posted into all of the news stands world-wide. This means they get their ad placed in thousands of different regions at the same time and their ad actually becomes part of the second life world.
We also offer News Stand owners a share in the profit. Owners of News Stand 1 receive 20% commission on ad’s placed, and 15% profit share paid to them every month.
