Ive seen SIMS that were ranked even higher than Amsterdam loose all traffic overnight.
I hope for the new guys sake that strokerz stays in business there on site, I personally dont shop there cause of all the girefers and the lag but then I like quiet peaceful shoppin trips with my friends ![]() That is VERY awesome news for the old owners though, I am glad they made some money for their hard work. |

It would probably cost over 50K to have 3D modelers, graphic designers and scripters build a new version of Amsterdam.
A good buy, in my opinion. |

I can't imagine it sells as long as they keep this in their info: "Intellectual Property Rights will remain with creators". That implies a lot of restrictions of which none are cleared up in the remainder of the text. They should clearly define what the rights of new owner are in terms of changes and they should clearly define what the creators rights are (e.g. what's holding them from making a new, updated, version by simply putting improved versions on an island).

There was a news article in the Dutch press about the sale of 'Amsterdam'. It was sold for 50.000 US$ to a Dutch real estate company (Nedstede). However after the 'win' on Ebay they found out that not all builds on the SIM were included in the sales, because they were owned by other people, and Nedstede could not get the intellectual property. So they decided not to buy it. That is why the seller (Serpentine) now includes "Intellectual Property Rights will remain with creators" in the description.

Quite funny, trying to sell for 50 times the buy price something that is basically depending of others.
