Ok, I went to the website, and at the bottom it says: " We don't exchange game currency to real cash. Rates are subjected to change without notice. " So what on earth would anyone want to convert Lindens to this E-Gold. Is it good for anything? Sounds like it's being converted to thin air.

Check out the Wikipedia entry, especially the part about crime and fraud: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-goldEven if e-gold is legitimate, the additional service charges and exchange fees could make it difficult to evaluate the real price you are paying for the $L.

Thanks for the link. So you can only cash out your E-Gold once you get to $20,000.00 US Dollars... Ok ya, I think I will pass on this...

You may convert the E-gold to your national currency through your local E-gold exchanger (PM me and I can recommend you one)

They are just being charged. not convicted. They are still operating as usual. Kindly check it out at www.e-gold.com. Paypal have a lot of problems too (CC fraud, scammers, stolen account etc) and is not so friendly when it comes to digital content trading. So let's open up our mind and give alternative payments a chance. I'm still working in introducing other payment options. Kindly feedback and I'll try to add it in. Cheers!

E-gold sounds like a scam, from everything I've read. Sticking to normal methods of getting Lindens and exchanging them, myself.

E-gold is definately not a scam. I have been using their site for years. They have transparent accounting. Every digital ounce of gold is backed up by one ounce of gold warehoused. How much gold is backing up your fiat currency of where ever you live? Whats that? None? Wow, I wonder which currency is the real scam? You can cash out any amount from your account. I found the bid/ask spread better than say buying gold at a coin dealer... The benefits of the site is when transmitting from one e-gold account to another, extremely low fee, and tranfer is almost instantanious and no 3% credit card fee neither.

From: Brent Recreant I'll always buy my Lindens from www.oforu.com Well, i have been trying to buy Lindens at this site to. And several others actually. They advertise with 100.000 $L for $ 320,- So you get 312 $l for 1 $. Good deal right? But these Lindens never show up. It takes days if not weeks and a lot of mailing and stuff to get a refund. When you check the shop a few days later, these rates changed to 100K for $380 or something like that. Buyer beware. Hate it when they try to steal from me.!
