We have just released v2.5 of our pet dogs. This version includes a fix for dogs that stop listening to their owners. We recommend ALL D&D Dog owners to upgrade to v2.5 (free)

Below is our version history for more details:
CODE

D&D Dogs Version History
----------------------------

v2.5 - 8/27/2005
---------------------
Bug fix: After saying "sit" to your dog, if you said anything else before "come", the dog would stop responding to your commands. This doesn't happen anymore.

Bug fix: When a dog gets lost, it would say "I'm lost! Waiting for my owner to return...", but now references the correct owner name, for example, "I'm lost! Waiting for my owner Driftwood Nomad to return..."

v2.4 - 8/22/2005
---------------------
- Configurable follow type (Rotate or Stationary):
- Right-click your dog and select EDIT.
- Open the CONTENT tab and find the file named #Config.
- Open the file. Find the line that reads "Follow Type = Rotate"
- Follow Type can be either "Rotate" or "Stationary"
* Rotate causes your dog to always be on the same side of you (on your right, left, behind you, etc)
* Stationary causes your dog to follow you in one spot
- Save the file to activate the changes
- Reduced the number of listens to one master listen that sends out link messages for all commands and tricks.
- Changed most says and whispers to llOwnerSay to reduce outside noise.
- Added a changed state to reset the dog when the config notecard is saved without having to touch the dog.
- No longer does a complete reset after each command...recovers faster
- Tweaked the dog's rotation to better follow it's owner and not walk sideways as much. Still not perfect, but it's better.
- Trick updates
- Changed all tricks to use message links instead of individual listens (less lag)
- Attack: Not as strict with capitalization of target.
- Beg: Preloading beg sound
- Doghouse: dog will face out when he goes into the dog house
- Growl: Preloading growl sound
- Howl: Preloading all howl sounds
- Speak: Preloading bark sounds

v2.3 - 1/16/2005
----------------------
- Added Configurable owner's title.
- Right-click your dog and select EDIT.
- Open the CONTENT tab and find the file named #Config.
- Open the file. Find the line that reads "Owner's Title = Master"
- Change "Master" to whatever you want your dog to call you (e.g. "Mistress" or "My Boss")
- Save the file
- Touch your dog to reload the config file
- If a dog gets lost he will IM his coordinates to his owner. The amount of IMs is now capped at 10 to prevent excessive spam.
- The length of time between IMs has been increased significantly to spread out the 10 messages
- Sometimes a dog can get stuck in the ground and will not come to you. If this happens, say "unstick". The dog will unstick himself.
- If someone touches your dog, he barks. When you touch your dog, it reloads the config file.
- Reworked some code to use less memory to help prevent stack/heap collisions

v2.2 - 10/2004
----------------------
- Added "pos" command for positioning your dog
- Added pos chart image
- Added "closer" and "farther" commands
- Fixed memory usage problem that was causing stack/heap collisions
- Added "smooth" and "real" modes. Real mode is bouncy. Smooth is not.
- Now calculates height of dog's hover according to avatar's height.
- Removed collision textures and sounds so the dog won't bang around.
- Fixed upgrade bug that would cause nearby dogs to break
- Changed all 'says' to 'whispers'
- Added more detailed notecard help
- Fixed "speak" to use proper bark sound for different breeds
- Fixed "pee" to appear at right height
- Made Poop Pile not copyable by anyone
- Shortened opening text
- Added default color for "color" command

v2.1 - 9/2004
---------------------
- Revamped Lost Dog system to not try to shoot off-world. Now stays put and IMs location to owner.
- Programatically setting dog's description according to version number
