Have you played it? Did you like it? Was it informative?

I am looking for some feedback. I get a few emails on the website and every once in a while someone IM's me, but I hear very little about it, and I know people are playing. If you don't want to respond in the public forum, please feel free to IM me in world, PM here on the board or I can be contacted through DiscoveryHunt.com.

Thanks :)

Yes I did. I enjoyed it very much and it really was informative.

I met some nicest people en route, from whom I learned the basics of SL. One of them has been my best friend and personal mentor, and now she lives next to me :)

If you allow me to make just one suggestion, I think it would be even greater if it had some pointers on building besides the sandbox. I was lucky (or maybe unlucky) enough to run into people who showed me how fun and addictive it could be, but I remember being totally at a loss when I first touched ground in Cordova.

Thank you Eboni and everybody. You brought the whole luck (or a curse;) to me. I thought it was LL who set up the whole thing!

Thank You for the feedback Chie.

Well the original point was to have people explore SL and to give them a small guide when they start the game to assist them in doing so. I didn't add more suggestions or information about building, but maybe I will add some web links to Wiki and forum information in the future. If you are new and you land in a sandbox, people are going to talk to you an you are going to make friends, that is why it was important we added a sandbox to the hunt.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

How exactly does this work? I've been clicking on the items and it says it's fetching the item, but nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Eboni,
Just a quick note - I give out the notecard for Discovery Hunt in the New Citizens Inc welcome pack, and members of the group who help out at the WA also direct Noobies to the sign as well.

I'll put a shoutout on the NCI group channel and point the Noobies in the direction of this thread :D I know a few who went on the Hunt...

Passing along feedback that I've heard: informative, fun and a very creative way to get to know SL and how to explore things.

Due to a server move we had to take DH down for a few days. It should be back up. I will double check all of the items to make sure they are working properly. Anyone who has went to a location and had an issue can email me and I will make sure they recieve the appropriate prize for that location. Soon with time permitting I will be revamping the game with new locations and new prizes (pending new donations *hint*).

We have thought about versions for players of various ages and it is in the works. ;)

Waaah, by the time I am able to play Second Life regularly, I will be too "experienced" to partake in this event thingy! That causes me unhappiness.
