I Feel So Lost

I've been on for a couple of days now and I am so lost as to what to do or where to go. I've met a couple of people that have been helpful but I feel like I'm bugging people when I ask too many questions. Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone want to be my mentor? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated by this fledgling.

Hey, feel free to look for me, too. I'm still pretty new (I've only been playing since Friday), but I've managed to amass quite a few landmarks just by asking people where to find stuff. As I've said, I'm still a newbie myself, but I'm more than willing to help you out as much as I can. I don't have exact coordinates for my house on me just now, but for reference I can tell you that I'm in Ritch, right next to Misnomer Jones' shop. I don't remember if that's one of the default landmarks or not, but I hope it gives you a point of reference. Now that I think about it, I think the coordinates are somewhere around 80, 250, though I know that's not exact. If you go to those coordinates in Ritch, though, and look for a tall building with a manequin on top, then a large, physically impossible stone structure, my house is right between them. I'm there as often as I can be, so feel free to look me up!

I've been here about a month and if you ever see me you better start runnin cause i'll beat you good with my ugly-stick!!! But in a nice way. =)
Just kidding Carr. Most people that's been here long enough will understand your plight. At the worst, people will just ignore you, but the chances are they aren't, they're just IM'ing alot. Or they're afk, playing on their 2nd account, cybering, doing some intensive building/scripting, etc...

Last night I took a tour of some of the landmarks which was really helpful. I still need to find a place to build my house. From what I understand, property's going fast. Maybe one of you could help me find some land and get me started on what to do with it.

Yeah i forgot to mention, go to the tutorials and events. They're held all the time and will give you a overall idea of what's to be done here.
Yeah, land. That's an issue we're all dealing with. Wish i had good answers for that. There is land to be had, but it probably won't be location location location! If you get what i mean. Don't sweat it too much cause if you buy a lil plot and then end up not liking it, you can always p/u all your objects into your inventory and release the land without too much damage to your pocketbook. I've done it several times.

You should stop by Landmark Isle in Welsh. It has landmarks to a lot of stores, homes and event sites.

Come back to the Welcome Area on the border of Ahern and Morris. We are creating more tools to give you an orientation, such as Self-Guided Tours and Advertising Kiosks. Check the events board for the classes and events of the day. Wander around the nearby Themed Communites to see if anyone is looking to recruit new members. If you see anyone with Liaison at the start of their name feel free to ask them anything. Also, residents with the title Mentor are spending much of their time helping newbies.

Carrera, look around these forums. The people who take the time to post answers here will usually also be happy to help you in-world, or if they're busy, at least fob you off on someone else who can help

("fob you off", is that a cromulent international usage? I mean "pass the buck", sorta)

Yeah I will usually help people, or at least point them in the right direction. I'm good with scripting btw. And BS and complaining about the economony and vote booths. But in world its mostly scripting.
