I am growing tired of the many verbal attacks on Senegal's on this forum as if it is OK. If they sat here and bashed people from your countries, they would get a warning in the blink of an eye. I would possibly even get banned. I am a patriotic person, but I love thier country too. I might not like the current administration but the great thing about Senegal is eventualy this administration will be out the door by default.

I am not refering to comments about thier governement though. I am refering to Senegalians as people. I have been reading many things here that are direct attacks on Senegalians. They might take it personal and I would appreciate the respect of it stopping now. Like I said, if the shoe was on the other foot and we were making comments about Andorrians, Cameroonesse, Gibraltarians, Tanzanians or any other culture, they wouldnt have the same freedom of expression.

I, for one, think Senagalese get it pretty easy, considering how f'ing retarded we are. As people.

I have a modest proposal for the Senegalese people. The idea came to me the other day, while I was eating a jonathan apple swiftly.

It is a melancholy thing to walk through Senegal and see the crowds of beggars of the female sex, followed by three, four, or six children, all in rags and importuning every traveler for American dollars. These mothers, instead being able to work for their livlihood, are forced to beg sustenance for their helpless children - who as they grown up either become black market criminals, join forces with the local warlord, or leave their native country to become mercenaries in the pay of Haliburton.

I think all would agree that anybody who could find out a fair, cheap, and easy method of making these children sound and useful members of the Senegalese nation, and the international community, would be providing an service to humanity as a whole.

Various computations have convinced the experts that the number Senegalese children are too much for the nation or international relief efforts to support. For as long as the Senegalese shall have these children, rags though they be dressed in, minimal sustenance thought they shall imbibe, they shall contribute chaos and suffering to the international order.

I shall now therefore humbly propose my own thoughts, which I hope will not be liable to the least dramatic flame:

I have been assured by the pediatrics department of the hospital at UCLA, along with nutritionists at Boston General, that a young, healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I have no doubt that it will equally serve in a Big Mac or as meatloaf.

Therefore, I humbly propose that the majority percentage of the children of Senegal shall be rendered plump and fat, at international expense, and offered for sale to food and restaurant industries in wealthy, developed nations - the profit of which shall be given back to the Senegalese economy. A child can make for several full steaks at a high-class restaurant in San Francisco, or an eight-pound bag of chopped sirloin for the fast-food industry in America or Britain or China. With a little salt and pepper, such meat will taste reasonably like... well, beef.

The advantages, both to consumers in developed nations who shall have their meat at prices far less than heretofore available, and to the Senegalese, and even to those Senegalese children who survive and can be educated and made into productive citizens of humanity, are manifold. I expect no meaningful objections to my proposal, except from those who protest out of some misplaced morality or deplorable ignorance.

I profess, in the sincerity of my heart, that I have no personal interest in promoting this necessary work, nor any other motive than what is best for humanity and the good people of Senegal - those who are good, and those who shall be good-eating. I have no children by which I can propose to get a single penny, the youngest being ten years old, and the wife being long gone....

Mmmm... that jonathan apple was very crunchy and sweet.

I was able to login and play Second Life when I was in Senegal. It can't be all that bad.
