I have found a few guides that help a little but need help in a few other ares. So if any can point to a guide for these questions that would be great I can save an outfit but how do I load it back onto my avatar? To get naked ( I will need to know this at some point ) do I make an outfit then load it? Once I buy a new skin / outfit then all I have to do is just load it to be "wearing it? A link to a nice site / shop that has some nice nude skins ( In game ones are bad? ) and s ton of outfits pls... Ok that is all, I know total newbie questions but I want to start having fun and stop messing the the UI ! I really think I will like it here once I get going. Thank you all in advance , sorry for my noobness =D

(edit: no need to quote) I'm fairly new too, but I'll try to help anyway. There's some good info in the How-To guides in the wiki: http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=How-TosTo load an outfit: I assume you saved your outfit by: right-clicking your avatar and selecting appearance, making whatever changes, clicking the Make Outfit button, and giving it a meaningful name. If so, a folder was created with that name: My Inventory -> Clothing -> OUTFIT_NAME. To put on that outfit, find that folder and drag it onto your avatar. To get naked: Right click your avatar -> Take Off -> Detach All to get rid of any attachments. Then, right click your avatar -> Take Off -> Clothes -> More -> All Clothes To wear a skin: Drag it from the inventory onto your avatar. Freebies: Find button at the bottom -> All tab on the right -> type in freebies and search. Click the untitled button to the right of Name to sort by popularity (I guess). YadNi and the Shelter are good places. HTH, HP

Gar 198, 144 is a place you can learn to change your looks, get many av looks for 1L. The notecard is in the purple cone, just click it. Then get a box beside the cone and follow the step by step instuctions on the notecard.
To find Gar, click the map button, click the region arrow and choose Gar, then teleport there, then look at your coordinates on the mini-map till you find 198, 144.

Welcome to SL! If you're looking for skins that look good nude, I'd say have a look at Nomine first... you can look up the location by searching under places with mature enabled. Munchflower, the shop owner, does really good work, her skins look amazing nude, and there are demos available for them, so you can try a bunch first before spending money for one. As for clothes, one of my favorite places for attractive, quality things that aren't overly sexy is Little Rebel. It has great stuff at a range of prices, some marked down. You might also want to have a look at Ingenue in Chartreuse-- lots of separate pieces, high quality, very cheap. hope this helps, enjoy!

i second elianexi's recommendations. as a newb, i've been searching for skins as well. munchflower's are the best, and not overpriced. she's got a HUGE selection, and the prices are reasonable from what i can tell. i've seen other selling them for 2-3x the price of hers, and they're not as good.

I own a couple of Munch's skins, and while she's definitely one of my favorites (for outfits as well!) I don't think there is such a thing as "the best" in SL skins. Too much personal taste involved. I also own these and I would recommend every single one of them: Sauvage - A good looking skin, VERY reasonably priced with lots of makeup options. (Sorry I can't remember the store location but if you IM me...) Lumiere - Nevermore, love the new "Hybrid" line, I own 2 and plan more Chip Midnight - Probably been making skins longer than anyone in SL. Lensey - Beautiful faces Cherrybomb - Natural looking, sells her skins in groups of 4 so figure that into the price. She's also a sweetie to work with if you have special requests. Mimi Coral - just discovered her yesterday. VERY nice skins, very reasonable price! I'm on an eyeball kick now. I've purchased contact lenses from several vendors, and I think that *is* one area where Munch offers the best. Hard to go wrong playing around with a folder full of $10L eyes

'cause some folk just can't get nakkid fast enough. Getting nekkid fast is easy - but the darn prim boots look silly afterwards with the heels embedded in your ankles. Is at least a dozen skin designers - my advice is to shop around, try on the Demos and decide which works best for you. In game skins are not bad at all - in fact they are all in game - even the sites with skins available to buy are automated systems to get your your skin in game.

Thanks so much all !
Ok So I get naked and find I dont have nipples...... Gonna have to find some of them.
Also searching for Hair styles and going to those places isn't helping me very much. Any suggestions will be welcome.
I also would kinda like to have my own place but dont want to own land..... yet. Where are some good places to rent some nice apartments?
Thanks again, glad to be here. Cant wait to meet more people though and get into some games and what not. Lots of learning to do !

From: Tishauna Bachman Ok So I get naked and find I dont have nipples...... Gonna have to find some of them. Most skins will come with nipples. A skin is really just one special layer on your avatar. Clothes go over the top of it. Take off your clothes and your 'skin' is visible. You can try to create your own skins, or you can buy them. My suggestion is to NEVER buy a skin that doesn't offer you a demo. It's too big of an investment for most people just starting out, and personal taste will dictate that your chances of disappointment are high. From: someone Also searching for Hair styles and going to those places isn't helping me very much. Any suggestions will be welcome. What style do you want? My suggestion is to go to clubs or events and look at what others are wearing. Ask them who made that hair, they may even be able to give you a landmark. From: someone I also would kinda like to have my own place but dont want to own land..... yet. Where are some good places to rent some nice apartments? Can't help much with that, but you can do wonders by entering criteria in your "Find" screen.
