I had made a cute little Christmas mouse, so sweet and innocent. Aaron made a cool script for Squeaky. I decided that he was just too cute to keep so I wanted to share him. I thought it would be a nice idea to keep him fully modifiable so that people could develop there own pet and use Aaron's nice script. Unfortunately not all the pets formed were as nice as Squeaky and since I had made the base object guess whose name is on all the now evil pets wandering the world. =0)

If there’s an evil pet squeaking around your area please feel free to delete him (I think they are mostly gone now). If you need my assistance give me an IM jingle or leave me a message if I’m offline. Thanks!

Im sorry Stell. I inserted a squeky inmy machine gun and went around shooting the poor things out all over by nash's place one night lol. I think I got them all but it was an experiment that went terribly right. So if anyone sees my squekies please delete them. I will in future versions of the squeky bullet include a die call in the script so they will delete themselves.

hehehehe no prob, thanks! I had no idea you were one behind that Charlie! lol I know there were others. It was a good experiment in what can happen with little scripted "things".

Some of them with the velocity they got shot out actually blew apart.....MWAhahahahaha.

Is this due to the fact that they are set physical? can physical items at certain velocities really consistanly bow apart like this....LOL

I had someone approach me tonight about the wild green slime drones which have my name on them listed as creator. Sorry I can't take credit! They seemed to have resurfaced after a very long time as you can tell from the start of this thread!

Please read my first post from back in January and heed my warning too, be careful about what you leave copy/mod on it might come back to haunt you in some other form. =0))

Lol, sorry. The resurfacing may be due partly to me. I've been handing out the squeaky things (which were given to me) with the new name "Bob Ghengis Khan" on them. I don't know if it's spread or what but I've seen quite a few around too!

Hey I have one of those slime things... ive had it for ages. I wonder if you still have the original? I would be interested in a copy if only for historical reasons.

Green slime drones apparently have resurfaced and more irratating then its previous relatives. I found out after someone negatively rated me (no worries I talked to him and explained and he was nice about it) that there is now an exploding version.

Sorry to anyone that lays victim to these and please if you find out the "owners" name of them I would like to have a word or two with them. Please read the previous posts and a little history on the green slime drone.

This is like a virus that spread itself throughout SL.

I was thinking about this one day, if it would be possible to create a self multiplying evil object that spread all through out SL... then figured I'd rather not get baned.

Man would you all be in trouble if I was evil.

I would love a copy of the original though, sounds cute.

I still have my Wild Green Slime... It doesn't follow though, it just squeeks a lot. :^D I think it's cute :^p

P.S. Didn't the Wild Red Slimes explode a long time ago?

When you say I should be careful what I share .... is it really safe (in this context) to share anything?

If I create a plywood cube and allow copy/mod, then anyone could change the shape to a duck, add bullets and a squeaky sound -- and now I "created" an automatic annonyance machine? I was wondering the other day why more things do not allow me to copy or modify them. Seems like sharing would be the norm unless you really want to make money off something.

Lotsa new people in world and I guess new and obnoxiously improved versions of this bugger. I apologise for those who are disturbed. Please look at the "owners" name, not always the creator is responsible for the object. Please read back on the history of these lil annoyances and be wary of who you give free objects to that are editable.

For those new people who don't know Steller, she has spent hours of her online time trying to help people with these things not of her creation.

Steller was the first member of this world, ever. She is as honest and honorable as they come and very protective of Second Life.

So if you have neg rated her for this, please take the time to speak with her. And if you have one of these little buggers in your inventory, do her a favor and take it out and delete it.

It's amaseing really! I'm still getting negative ratings over these buggers and I am not even in world that much anymore. It's depressing really. Yeah, what Maggie said, in spades. Steller is about as far from being a griefer as you could possibly get. She's like the SL anti-griefer, in fact.

(Psst, Lindens, this whole issue is about the most "stellar" reason in existence regarding why the ratings system is hopelessly broken and completely useless.)

I like the little green bastiches. The big mutant ones are another story tho. The first one I ever made, err found actually orbited me.

I know Steller because of the bean stalk in Welsh. It's not as tall as it used to be but it still stands in SL. And for me it has been a place where I can go when upset and relax.

I'm very glad 1.2 did not mean the loss of the bean stalk and it is upsetting that Steller is negged over those other items.

Just remember that it seems 95% of the SL users do not use the ratings system as freely as it was originally intended and some users especially new ones tend to use the rating system as it was meant to be; a device through which they show displeasure, dislike or distaste for an item, behavior or appearances of people and items. It takes being told as a newbie (thanks Crowcatcher for telling me) that the majority of the SL community does not use the rating system for negs so much as positives.

I arrived at Ahern yesterday and was immediately tripple negged with the message i was a slut but some newbie there... oh well

As these examples show...the quality of SL has grown to a low...People that don't learn to look to see who created an object verses who owns it.

Even if Stell created the bad version (which she DID NOT), it is the way it is used by those who own it...

there is a seperate rating for Creator and seperate for OWNER.


Sorry for the angry tone here. But Stell should not be plagued by this situation, it is the lack of responsible raters who don't take the time to see the difference in owner vs creator...

I would neg rate anyone who neg rates Stell over this, as they are the ones griefing a very sweet and honorable person.
