Not a big deal, and no way to stop it, I guess, but . . .

According to the caption at Snapzilla, this was the result of a "teleport morph".
At any rate, public schools have National Geographic magazines with pictures that show more, and are of actual human beings. *shrug*
I am more concerened about advertising than pixel nudity.

Though seeing that AV on the front page would hardly be a draw to join SL.

Not to mention - they may have simply been sending it to my site - it is not their fault that it is also grabbed for the front page.

thought your site specifies no nudity? i will have to go back and read the terms again. *checks* Oh it says : You will not submit sexually explicit content to Snapzilla. *** edit *** Ooo just saw that the pic was from ReallyRick ~ aww such a sweet boy (lol, from forum posts) and sure not intended in that way ... but just for clarification - does nudity count as sexually explicit on Snapzilla? LOL and ty for your timely answer (as i was editing my post)

I figured it was a teleport issue someone thought was funny. And of course, I don't think they were necessarily going for the front page. After all, the service exists primarily for US to use, right? And as far as I can remember, there's no way to flag a picture so that it can't be used for the front page? Maybe that is what's needed. Ditto for "advertisements," however. There is absolutely no way to conclude that they were necessarily going for the front page. (Unless, I guess, you get the same picture 50 times every day, Cristiano.) coco

So then i guess nudity is okay? It is a judgement call really that I have surprisingly not been faced with that often. I was convinced originally it was going to be porn spam on parade, but that didn't happen, I imagine because people's avatar names are associated with it. Nudity is not totally forbidden - I suppose the line would be R vs X rated. That picture would definitley not quality as sexually explicit.

Doesn't strike me as sexually explicit, either - not in a way that would preclude having it on Snapzilla, anyway. coco

I have a screenshot of an imagine with someone with a giant penis attached to them in a PG sim on the front page. I did report it, but it went away quickly thankfully.

Breasts on the front page.
Yeah, I'd say Linden Lab knows their market pretty well.

Thought I would comment since I was the one who sent the photo in.
I did not even notice nor realize that anyone would mistake my photo for being sexually explict. I had telepported and after waiting 5 minutes and trying different things, my avie would not go back to normal, so I took the snapshot. To me it was interesting and I wanted to save it because it gave me a laugh.
Considering my avie is male and technically LL's said male avies can be topless anywhere, I assumed it would be harmless. It wasn't until after the picture was already submitted did someone point out that it looked like I had boobs.
Sorry if anyone was offended, nothing was intentional.

lol, Rick! I was kinda wondering if it weren't actually a sort of deformed guy! I think what I said earlier is the solution. If we had a way of flagging those pics we didn't want - for WHATEVER reason - to appear on the front page, then it automatically couldn't appear there. There are some pics a person might want on Snapzilla, or that would be ok for Snapzilla, yet wouldn't be just terrific for the front page. How hard would it be for the Lindens to code something that worked like that? coco

How far they are from implementing it I am unsure. This applies to all snapshots - not just those going to my site.

Ok, terrific! That proves I'm a genius, cause great minds think alike! And I was also thinking (but wasn't sure) that it might be other e-mails going out, besides those to Snapzilla, in which case there very well could definitely be more explicit things people want to sent that they might prefer not to have plastered over the front page, or just anything, really. The check-mark box would make it easier to send these out with privacy, rather than having to send it to your own computer first. coco

I know that was not as lurid as the favoritism explanation, but it was about privacy.

Wait - I thought you just said that they were using photos other than the ones which go to your site, which I didn't think they were doing, but then I thought you just said they did, which would be even more reason for the check-box, but now you are saying they don't, so they would already be filtered as much as people would filter them anyway, in going to your site, which makes it a lot safer, but I still do think they should have the check-box, even if it is just to check off if you want your picture going to your site but not on the front page. coco

I said the reason they are not using photos other than those going to my site right now are because the privacy checkbox has not been implemented. Once it is, they will use all outgoing snapshots from PG sims. This would also allow for the situation you spoke of - which is a picture destined for Snapzilla but not for the front page - by it being marked private, it wouldn't be captured even though it was going to slpics.com. I don't know if the default will be checked or unchecked.
