Push "F", or if you use View > Movement Controls, click "Fly". "E" and "C" go up and down.

Nope. Every av can fly without any attachment or so much as one L$ in their pockets.

I don't anymore - I gave it up for jumping
 A lot of fun leaping from rooftop to rooftop at a run, taking sims in 2 - 3 leaps. I get to see a lot of stuff that way that I would normally fly up and over. _____________________
The Second Life forums are living proof as to why it's illegal for people to have sex with farm animals.

Very carefully.
First, go to the bottom of your screen and press FLY> Make sure you KEEP IT ON --it's not the button to move with and not to press repeatedy on, but the mode button, so press once and leave it or you fall out of the sky. Next, go over to the right of your keyboard and see the arrow keys. Familiarize yourself with pushing them up and down and sideways. You can also use "page up" and "page down" very handily to move around in the sky. One could thing is that if you fall you don't really hurt yourself but it can be disorienting. When coming out of a telehub, try to land or you get caught in the rafters. To avoid being captured by malls, press PAGE UP and the FORWARD or UP arrow repeatedly to get up in the sky, and over the mall, to the go forward. _____________________

Once you get the hang of things, using key shortcuts is probably the way to go: F - toggles on/off fly mode E - fly up C - fly down Left arrow - fly left Right arrow - fly right Up arrow -fly forward Down arrow - fly backward _____________________

Sometimes on keyboards the "Page Up" and "Page Down" buttons are part of the number keyboard -- in which case you will have to have the "Num Lock" button off in order to fly this way.

By default I believe you can hold "E" or "PageUp" which is also jump, but holding it down will cause you to fly. You can change this in Preferences - Input/Camera - Auto Fly Options. Unchecking the check box will make it so you have to press "F" or "Home" to fly.
If you want to fly with a vehicle you will have to get a free one or buy one. _____________________
