What's up with the Gaming Open Market? Last trade US$0.59, with almost all of the buy orders bought up. Is it somebody dumping L$ fast, or another problem?

No problems at all. Simply a matter of people filling open buy orders, driving the price down.

Since IGE has suspended their L$ purchasing, the market price has reacted accordingly.

Now might be a good time to pick up some L$ at a good price. :)

IGE stopped buying L$ at inflated prices. Now 15 million L$ are looking for buyers and nobody want buy, at least not for insane prices like we had in recent weeks...

I guess it's partly due to low auction prices.

With the amount of L$ minted every week increasing (new accounts).
And the amount of L$ being 'removed' from SL (only through auctions and uploads) probably decreasing with the low auction prices, there's bound to be an increasing surplus amount of $L now.

This will probably cause some form of inflation. Either slow, with people gradually selling of their surplus at Gom and IGE, or a rapid one, when everybody is holding their $L until the global panic starts ;)

I don't have the facts and figures to support my opinion though, so i accept the possibility of it being complete nonsense. ;)
