Can we have RSS Feeds for forums? Makes it much easier and lighter to follow up on any website/forum etc.

and can we have better forum searching? there have been RSS threads before, but we can't find them because RSS is only 3 letters and the search page wants 4.

I thinks if you let Jeska Linden know she may consider adding certain 3-letter keywords to the search database during the next update—she put out a sort of call for them before. Like, notice how you can search for "ati" and "mac"? :)

I think I saw it buried in the Guidelines section... OK, found it.

The feeds are currently provided in two formats, RSS and RSS v2. The differences are as follows:

RSS 0.91 - This feed is based on a standard written by netscape and provides a link and the title of the thread.
http://forums.secondlife.com/external.php?type=rss
RSS 2.0 - This feed contains title, author, date and the contents of the first post of the thread.
http://forums.secondlife.com/external.php?type=rss2
*snip*
The forums to which this applies can also be limited to specific guest viewable forums by adding another paramater to the URL containing the forumids as follows:
http://forums.secondlife.com/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=123

If you would like the content to be generated for multiple forums you can seperate the forumids by commas.

Thanks all but I think these require the user to be either logged in or to provider a referer. When one tries to subscribe to any of these in a reader, it fails!

OK, I read the Wikipedia thing and didn't really understand it. Then I signed up for the Blogspots thing, and will check e-mail about it later.

Thanks, guys!
