So it's a movie based on FF7? Should be good, I liked the plot of it. At least it won't suck like Spirits Within >_<

Wish they would make a FF6 one though... *sigh*

[edit] I just watched the trailer...

wow.

Yeah, and include new versions of the battle music... sure... FF6 the movie would be epic... I still believe Kefka is the greatest FF villain.

Easily. The way they did it with him being comic relief in the first part then turning into the ethereal threat-from-above in the second was enough of a contrast to make him stand out. Sephiroth was done well, he certainly has the "awesome" factor, but he was too much of an enigma throughout it to get a good sense of him as a character.

I saw that Vincent was in the trailer but not the characters menu... I hope he's in the movie a lot, he's by far my favorite FF character. With Locke and Edgar in close second :)

[edit] See what you get making the title of the thread that? All the FF nerds coming in and geeking it up :D

[edit edit] Ok i'm just blind, he is in the characters menu lol

I watched FF:Advent Children last night, and all I can say is WOW!
This is my favorite movie of 2005 by far, and I absolutely _hated_ FF:Spirits Within. I liked the movie so much, that right after watching it, my friends and I watched it again!

The movie takes place 2 years after the Final Fantasy VII video game. Since I never played the video game all the way through, there were some things that I didn't understand, but a friend filled me in on the pre-plot details. The storyline is very good and deep, and the imagery/art used to help convey the plot is without equal. FF:Advent Children remains true to the Final Fantasy world you find in the videogames- a romantic marriage of technology and fantasy.

FF:Advent Children has the best action sequences I have ever seen in a movie. After I was done watching this, all other action scenes in all over movies before this now pale in comparison. The computer animation and art is also the best I've seen, the voice acting is top notch, and the music and sound effects are on point.

The only downside to this movie is that after watching it, everything in SL is now clownshoes in comparison.

Just finished watching it, yeah it was pretty good. The visuals were great of course, and the plot was just ok... overall it was worth watching.

Now get to work on the FF6 one! Not a sequel, the game itself in movie form. A two-parter of course.
