Any interest? I'd like to host it, and offer a cash prize to the best costume (attendees would vote on the costumes). Amount of cash prize depends on whether I have Linden backing or not <G>, but even if I don't have it, the minimum would be L$500.
So? Sound good? Bad? Wanna do it? If there's interest, I'll set the date for a few days away so everyone has a chance to make their costume (or hire someone else to make it).

I'm down with this plan, but would probably come as a very obscure super hero and would therefore not win.

Hmmm... perhaps two prizes are in order. The Best costume and the Most Unrecognizable One.
Or maybe a prize for the best snapshot taken during the party. I need some good snapshots for my site. And for the Slenquirer =)

Yes.
But if you make up your own superhero you're going to have to be prepared to Tell All about him/her/it. Name, strengths, weaknesses, Arch Enemies, favorite food, etc.

I love it - it would be so much fun to have a band of roving superheroes in Second Life. And of course, if you believe that good breeds evil, well, i expect a Legion of Doom shortly after.

Ok, we're gonna do this
01-28-2003 12:11
Here's your notice.
The party will be sometime within the next seven days (towards the end of that time-frame). I'll post the exact day/time/place within the next 2 days.
Start working on those costumes, or find someone to make you one. The clock is ticking.
I'll also finalize the details on the prizes -- amounts and what for, and will post that when I post the day/time/place.

Maybe the theme of the party should be expanded....

Superheros is a little too limiting.
I've been working on this Indiana Jones costume that I'd want to wear.

Any of you Design Fashion coding gurus have, or think they could make a decent looking 'Xena' Princess Warrior outfit? In my off-hours as the Muse, I like to play 'Callisto' at the party, and I could really see my char in such leather-skirted threads with matching thigh-high boots. I know that Callisto's outfit was black studded-leather, but hey, who's nit-picking? Brown texture will do in a pinch. Yes, I know skirts and dress hems are hard to code in this game, if they can be realistically coded and worn at all. But I would be willing to model any such fashion you might have, or wish to sell copies to others. As the ol' saying goes, "I'd pay good money to see that!"

Whoever designs the xena, can sell it in the Castle Market place when done.....I would also Like the Kevin Sorbo version of Herculies.....Not just the outfit.....The Whole AV.

I've been working on this Indiana Jones costume that I'd want to wear. Well Johnathan, you've got two choices: 1) Declare Indiana Jones to be a Super Hero (this is allowed) 2) Host yer own costume party Personally I'd like to see ya do both <G> #!
