On the SecondLife website there is a snapshot of a town where everyone is dressed as if in the 1900's. I usually come across the snapshot when I click on News (sometimes its on that page) then go into Virtual Land. Does anyone know where this town is? Does anyone know if theres a group that does this roleplaying? Please let me know! I've been searching and have found a school for Ladies, but thats about it. I'm really into this historical era role playing and would love to be a part of it. So, if anyone knows ANYTHING, please please let me know! Oh...and if you know of anyone who designs awesome prim clothing in relation to these historical eras please let me know. I've got almost everything imaginable from Vindi Vindaloo, so any others would be helpful. Thanks :)

That was the Spellbound group's well-done version of Peter Pan, with Olde London and Neverland. Olde London was great - it had games and clothes and sights to see - but in Second Life things come and go rather quickly, and unfortunately those sims are not up now. If you are interested in things like that, you might visit my Photography Studio in Grignano, and take a screenshot of yourself after looking at the sample pictures on the walls. Then keep looking for like-minded individuals - you'll find them, I'm sure.

Claire Glitterbuck and a large group were planning on something called Chicago 1900, a 1900's era Chiacgo role-play. Sadly, it was leaked on the forums before it was opened, and never got off the ground. I believe they made it private, but you may want to IM Claire in-world, tell her that I sent you, and ask what is up. Tell Claire I wasn't sure if it went private, or what, but that since you were interested I told you to IM.

Martin Magpie is the owner/project leader, and we're alive and well and doing great! We're located on Faded Reality Island, put on some comfy walking shoes and drop on by. (If a big burly man asks if you know where Da Boss is, admit nothing!)

If you're interested in roleplaying, there's a thread in SL Games about it.

How did the Mars invasion go this past weekend? The performance issues kept me from coming there. Will you be repeating it? This is a great production.

Morning just popping in to update since ppl don't really know all that much about the Chicago 1900's project. First it's alive and well. We spent about 3 months working 18 hour days for the most part trying to "gidder done" ;). We managed to over come a lot of set backs in the final phase of construction.

Chicago 1900's is meant to be an evolving city, it was and still is our intention to see this project threw. It's a mystery or several mysteries in a city. We had hired some actors to interact with visitors but for the most part we are left with 3 who are doing the best they can. So if you need a decent job and you can work 2 hours a day let Claire Glitterbuck know. She is the staff manager of Chicago and 1/2 owner of this entire project.

We are located on a private island down south called Faded Reality. We were located in Redear but had to move due to a few problems but mostly keeping the project under wraps till we could open.

Chicago is an experiment in SL, it's not a mall or a club; nor will you find, tringo, bingo, slingo there. Unless things fit in the theme they just are not in Chicago. We have tried our best to make this an experience that everyone could afford to enjoy from the 10 linden flapper dresses and suits for men and women to the 1 linden postcards you can give your friends.

We have done our best to get the word out via any means we could with the current sl system. It seems not too many are aware of it as yet. If you haven't had a chance to come see it I invite you to do so. We ask that you help us by telling ppl about it if you have had a chance to experience Chicago.

How long Chicago is up will depend solely on if it something ppl find interesting or not. We are heading into Phase 2 of this project still optimistic that it will be a new and fun experience for ppl. If not well we will switch gears and try something else on Faded Reality and now Reality Faded islands.

There are clues in Chicago as to what is coming next, figuring out the mystery is half the fun. The other half is enjoying the city, finding clues, discovering all the little jokes and role playing.

As far as who owns what well the simple answer is I own Faded Reality and Clair owns Reality Faded, we are partners here in sl and both have the same vision of what we would like to try in sl.

I hope this answered a lot of your questions and gave you some insight as to what we are up to. Please watch the events list for some new events we have not seen done in sl yet. :)
