sorry for ruining it...! i thought.. wait, you don't get to see it live? it happens on the west coast, but you have to see a taped version while the east coast gets to watch it live? that's.. um.. weird. isn't it? .. ..weird.. *scratches head* but i guess that makes sense, with it having been my 'eeeevviiiiill' post! No problem Cybin, you didn't mean it. We on the West Coast don't get to watch American Idol live. I suppose it airs live at 8:00 EST but that would mean it's only 5:00 PST--not exactly prime time. And if it would air live at 8:00 PST it would be 11:00 EST and that's also not prime time.
It's kinda funny because around 8:30, when it's dark outside, that Hawaiian girl was singing "LIVE" in Hollywood in broad daylight.
Yes, she did deserve to win.

Didn't watch, never watched, never will. It's two of my least favorite cultural trends -- reality TV and celebrity worship -- rolled up in one appalling package. Yuchh.
