I thought they would have their own... I'm sure they do. vBull can display different categories for different accounts.

Tell me what parent is gonna let their kid play a game with people dressed like that? Oh, and what 13 year old is intrested in 'building'? Just a basic waste of money if you ask me, now two worlds you have to do updates for...

From: Schoktra Black Tell me what parent is gonna let their kid play a game with people dressed like that? The kind that would be less likely to sue Linden Lab when their child saw people dressed like that?

There are a ton of parents who let their kids play this version of Second Life with their full knowledge and consent! And I'm guessing the teen grid is a whole lot more tame than this one. Hell, one kid I know who got booted from the main grid for being underage had her mom give HER ID as proof of age etc so she could be readmitted. And she's still here. But hey, no one ever said you had to be a good parent to be a parent! Oh. And .... Bahaha! What 13 year old kid is interested in building? Are you kidding?! Someone oughta tell Lego. Maybe they should quit now

One thing I just noticed however is that the teen grid forums are a link to these forums.

Actually Teen Second Life users are still able to create things like we do here. The thing is those types of creations just get deleted. I heard that Teen Second Life is on the main grid just far far far away...

From: Schoktra Black Oh, and what 13 year old is intrested in 'building'? Just a basic waste of money if you ask me, now two worlds you have to do updates for... I would have been overjoyed to have the opportunities of Second Life available to me at 13. In fact, had I been given the chance, I'm sure I would have developed a lot of my professional creative app skills a whole lot faster. Sigh. Born a little too early.

I am astounded by the technical aptitude and sophistication of some of these young 'uns--totally agree with you, Enabran. Becuase of my advanced age and inexperience with all things technological, when I joined SL, I was given reason to learn much of what many take for granted (I had to Google 'ROFL' and 'WTF,' for crying out loud), and I am grateful for the opportunity. Some of the TG folks will be able to take the skills (not just tech skills, either) they are learning/using into real-world careers.

From: Schoktra Black ... what 13 year old is intrested in 'building'? Just a basic waste of money if you ask me, now two worlds you have to do updates for... Probably the same kind of 13 year old who builds model airplanes or scale model railroads, or sits in a garage making an entry to the soapbox derby, or is always tuning the engine to the minibike screwed together from scrap lawnmower parts. Maybe the kind who take school electives in art, or handmakes dollhouses and furniture in woodshop, or earns scouting merit badges in Art, Basketry, Leatherwork, Metalworking, Pottery, Sculpture, and Woodcarving. Or perhaps a middle school teen like the two 14 year olds who taught me how to build a computer and use the basic tools in Photoshop.

I love the "edgey, extreme high-risk take-no-prisoners" design layout.

One of my former subs was 21 when I met her and dressed real sexy. 90% of her clothes were bought at Kids Gap. Disclaimer: actual kids (under 1 wearing these things make me sick. Which is why I quit doing retail partly. Watching parents buy thier 8 year old girl things was disgusting.
