I dont know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing, but when I TP somewhere as things are rezzing there is a strange new "texture" that I see before the actual one fills in.
I was able to take a quick snapshot. If you look closely, it sorta looks like one of the people in the pic is Pathfinder Linden? Hmmmmm.... Or come to think of it is sorta looks like it could be a character from the movie "Dark Crystal." Very odd.
Same thing happened when I just TP'ed to the WA. Something spooky is going on.

i think that's actually a video setting bug. I've encountered it various times when toggling "Fog" (i won't call it a feature) mode on and off. I do like those darker tones much better than the 'Martha Stewart' pea green mist we get though *sarcasm*

I've had this problem in the WA before. Once a few months ago, the entire area was covered in a Porn movie. I have only seen this happen to the textures in the WA.

There used to be mole people that lived under the ground mesh. I don't know whatever happened to them. They seemed to disappear around the time that Nova Albion was discovered.

I too have seen some very odd texture glitches in the WA. I have taken some pics but not sure how to get them on my pc to post here. The ones I have seen are where the texture turns into small random colored squares and pics of people that look like they were from store ads. Very odd stuff. Wish I could figure out how to transfer the pics so I can put em up here.

The Lindens are evil. I have seen the late night newbie sacrifices and they weren't pretty. Poor little newbies screaming in pain and terror as Ben Linden shoved them into the firey volcano with Robin watching and laughing wickedly. maybe everyone thinks I made this up, like they are doing. Or, maybe it's just more fun to pretend to ignore the truth, but that texture was from a streaming video...it is the opening scene of a video of THE BLUE MAN GROUP

This is a Video Media bug. SecondLife uses a specific "cloud" texture as a replacement for when the actuall prim texture is not loaded yet. It appears that the cloud texture got replaced with a frame from a video stream you've been viewing in SecondLife - possibly the last frame from the stream before you've left the parcel or stopped the video. This can be fixed by restarting your client. If this doesnt help, try clearing your cache. |

Another strange texture glitch I have experienced at times is when I have the Edit Appearance menu opened, and then open a web browser. Sometimes, the image of whatever is being displayed in the browser will become my avie's skin. It's really sort of surreal.
