Did you attend the 2nd anniversary events?
Why or why not?

I missed Philip's speach and most of the daytime activities because I was at work. I logged in when I got home (7pm PST), but the party grounds were too crowded and laggy for me. Waaaah.

How did you experience it?

I missed the formal events but I did stop by and dance for a while and checked out the builds and stuff.

I didn't attend any scheduled events but I did tour through the displays and look at a lot of old builds and pictures.

I missed most of it, but I got over there around 6 PST and danced a bit. There was practically no one I knew there.

As I suspected would happen. :(

I managed to get there and saw Philip's speech, danced a good while, took a break, danced at the Cannabis Cathedral, and went back to the party to BAM everyone with really great friends, hehe.

Good times! This I won't ever forget :D

I showed up, but was super laggy, everyone was gray to me, none of the builds or displays would rez and my dance animation wouldn't work! :p

But then I found the Cannabis Cathedral, danced, got bammed and don't remember anything after that, though I did have disturbing dreams of a dancing S&M Teddy Bear and a guy in a dress getting overly friendly with a sheep...

I got there after Phil's speech - around 4pm. It was uber-laggy while I was there - but still fun regardless.

I did find it rather ironic that many of the people that complain about how laggy clubs are - were there, despite the lag - having a grand time.

It made me realize that the nature of the venue is irrelevant. Whether its a Club, a Phillip Town Hall, some sort of party - even the Welcome Area. Anywhere you have a mass grouping of avatars - say - over 30 - you're going to have painful lag. Anywhere.

But you knew that already :D

I stopped by and danced with Nolan and Cyrus for a while, just after Philip's speech, I think.

It was very laggy and un-rezzy, but it was good to see so many familiar grey shapes. :)

I also went to Cannabis Cathedral and I had a great time. People at the club was so friendly. When i first landed at the other party. It was so laggy I watch my avie bounce down the road over houses in the water, out of the water until I rebooted. But other than that i had a great time.

I missed it, and I'm bummed. :(

Last night was the first night the hubby and I went to look for houses with our agent. And we have to move by august (long story short - daughter autistic, home school not school attended previous 2 years - county policy this year no transfers = need to move fast and have only a limited amount of choices due to income).

SO... hehe.. we were out till a bit after dark, and I came home so exhausted I couldn't hardly move. Since I had a lot of work today, I just went to bed crying softly that I had to miss the party. :(

I was able to see the whole thing, it was pretty fun to see that many avatars around (even if most of them were grey) without crashing. Score 1 for SL technology. :)
