I'm crossing my fingers, and hope that Fox gives us a closeup of George Steinbrenner's contorted face as the Sox do the happy dance on the infield of Yankee Stadium tonight.

On the other hand, I've been down this road before, so while hoping for the best, I'll be expecting the worst.

The thing I find most amusing is all the "1918" signs that are on display in NY. For some reason, Yankee fans don't realize that "1918" is a badge of honor that any Sox fan worth his salt is quite proud of. We've been there through it all and, win or lose, we'll all be there tomorrow. You and I both know that if the Yankees hadn't won anything since 1918, all of NYC would be Mets fan.

*spit*

Keep the faith!!!

Being from Philly, I can understand the Bostonians pain. And I REALLY REALLY REALLY can't stand the Yankees.

What about those wonderful NY fans last night that required riot troops to be brought in... yet we fans in Philly always get the bum rap for throwing snowballs at Santa Clause in *1968*. Gee, rough life there Yankees fans, winning 25% of the world series over the past century... its REALLY tough being a Yankees fan, isn't it? Buying championship after championship... The Phillies, the oldest franchise in baseball, have won ONE World Series since they were founded in 1889. Talk about fan devotion :-) Boston and Philly have it, Yankees fans were all known as Mets fans in 1986. :-)

Blue Jays baby! I'm just sad they share a division with the Wankees and Boston. Cheering for the Sox tonight though! ;)

I'm a Mets fan. I don't like the Yankees, but, after all, I *am* a New Yorker, so, I have to root for the Yanks. Blech...

No ya don't. That would be like saying you have to root for the New York Rangers. ;)

I love baseball. I love New York, the city and state, and Long Island. However, I HATE THE YANKEES.

I WISH the Yanks fans had been holding up signs that said *1991* when the Twins were playing them in the ALDS this year, so they could reinforce that a small market team like our Twins CAN win the big one with a very moderate team salary.

What's with throwing shit all over the field when A-Rod obviously raised his forearm and swatted the pitcher's glove, knocking the ball loose?

And what's with Jeter missing tags and having outs called? I have seen that at least twice now in post season play this year and several times in the regular season. I guess it's the primadonna syndrome, you are a superstar and even the umps start to take your gameplay for granted... Oh well, hopefully the Sox will spank them tonight and it won't matter anyway.

YAY! Ortiz just whacked a 2 run homer! Damn I wish the Twins still had him!

Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a World Series win a fair % of the time...

Yank's will be the biggest chokers in history if the Sox win (6-0 Sox in the 3rd).
No team has ever come back win from 0-3 in a 7 game series.

The US Geological Survey reported a tremor measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale, centered in Hawthorne, NY around 11:30PM, EDT on Wednesday night. Seismologist have determined that the cause was most likely George Herman "Babe" Ruth rolling over in his grave.
