I write this in response to this thread:
/120/e2/59836/1.html

Those who feel they are a step above the rank and file in SL are greatly mistaken. There is a conscious movement by some in SL to elevate themselves from the common players, by fostering extra close links with the Lindens.

This would be bad news except I am glad to say the Lindens repeatedly refused to be bated, turning down amongst other things, an offer to enter into a non disclosure agreement with Anshe Chung over matters of ruling Second Life.

The fact Anshe and others would feel that they putting more money into SL than some others makes them better or more deserving of power and influence disappoints me. I am not pleased with them.

The fact the Lindens remained firm and said "What we say to you we say to all" pleases me. There are those who would like corruption in their favour, but the Lindens are not going to be corrupted today, at least.

Yup, Lord Philip pretty much told them to stop the FICness. Hail Philip ! May his pineal gland be blown by Our Lady of Discord's blessed wind.

When I read that transcript, I could almost hear Anshe singing:

When someone pretty lower class
Graceless and vulgar, uninspired
Can be accepted and admired" -- Evita

Not so sure I agree from what I read in the transcripts.

.

I am also greatly disappointed by this. I would like Philip Linden to make a public announcement about this meeting, and explain to us why this was not announced? and why he chose to deal with Anshe? who for sure does not represent me or my views. Else Philip's refusal to Anshe about the NDA, will simply appear to be a lip service to "rest of us non-stakeholders in SL". Philip should also outline the criteria for becoming an SL stakeholder?

This starchamber does not represent me.

I am also very happy that Philip stood up to the Star Chamber.
